Jody Bothe is a mosaic artist and educator who divides her time between Portland, Oregon, and the Big Island of Hawaii. With more than 45 years of experience in education, she brings a lifelong commitment to teaching, mentorship, and creative development to her artistic practice. Jody’s training in mosaic art has been shaped by years of dedicated study, hands-on practice, and professional development with accomplished mosaic artists and instructors.
Over time, she has refined her craft with a specific focus on glass-on-glass mosaic, developing a deep technical understanding of materials, color theory, composition, and the interaction of light through glass. Her extensive experience working with a wide range of glass types and techniques informs both her personal work and her teaching.
